I read a story on TOC about this coach and thought he and his family could benefit from our prayers. :(

Marty Schumaker, AD at Bay Area Christian School is in intensive care, with a fractured skull and two broken vertebrae in his neck. He was disassembling the old press box and fell 16 feet from the ladder, hitting his head. He's currently unconscious.

Update Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 8:00 pm

During our last visit tonight at 8:00 p.m., our nurse shared with us that our neurosurgeon stated that Marty is right on track of where he should be for healing. It was a day without huge leaps, but a day of no backward moves. Praise God for small baby steps! Thank you for continuing to pray. How comforting it is to know that our God is walking with Marty through every step.
