closer Jose Valverde took off of the upper cheek bone on Friday night? Looked very scary at full speed. the ball ended up in shallow left field. It went off of his glove and face. WOW. Scared me to death. He then finished the game for his 15th save of the season. Should be on ESPN news this morning in case you missed it. Astros won 4-3, as Hunter Pence hit 2 homeruns...

back to my little league days..... i remember playing one of my best friend's team, he was the pitcher. he hit me, he told me on purpose since we all did that. anyways... the next batter hit a shot right back at him and split his face open/shattered his nose. i remember being scared and wondering if he was alright, expecially with as much blood splashed out....... but also thinking if i could make it home without anyone noticing. :D he was okay after a visit to the doctor.
