View Full Version : Former Great Oklahoma QB Jack Mildren Passes Away.

He had a great college career at Oklahoma as their wishbone QB in the late 60s and early 70s and had an outstanding life afterward even though it ended too soon. While at Abilene he was feared as a passer more and I always wondered if he had gone to Baylor or Stanford and developed that ability that he might have had a great pro career. He did great though. A sad loss. RIP Jack. :(

I may be wrong here but isnt he an Abilene Native?

I do believe he played on some of those great Abilene High teams in the 50s. A little before my time, but I've heard his name all my life, and can remember the Abilene TV stations talking about him on many occasions.

Could be right. I just thought he was older than that. I'm just too lazy to go research it myself.
The more I think about it though, I'm pretty sure you are correct.
