View Full Version : 4 Longhorn Game Times Set: A & M Game On Thanksgiving Night!!!

Four Texas football games were picked up Thursday for national telecasts on ABC and ESPN.

The Longhorns' game against Oklahoma on Oct. 11 is set for an 11 a.m. kickoff on ABC. Texas' renewed rivalry with Arkansas, which resumes Sept. 13 at Royal-Memorial Stadium, is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on ABC.

The Longhorns' home game against Texas A&M will start at 7 p.m. on Nov. 27. It's been moved to Thanksgiving and will be broadcast by ESPN.

Texas' first road game, against Texas-El Paso, is set for a 9:15 p.m. (Central Time) kickoff on Sept. 6. It will be broadcast by ESPN2.

When was the last time a Longhorn & Aggie game was on Thanksgiving?? Has to be mid to late 90's??

probably also the last time it was on espn........all those thanksgiving day matchups used to be on espn.

i think it happen when the big xii got a television contract with abc....and that left espn out....abc liked a texas/a&m and nebraska/cu doubleheader..............i liked it on thanksgiving night....i think while i was college it was played twice on thanksgiving.
