Live Oak?... Red Oak?... Sawtooth?... Bur?... Post?...

My favorite is Red Oaks and Live Oaks... but those Bur Oaks are pretty neat little trees...

Anyone know anything about Japanese Maples?

...uh, no! Our oak tree is sacred and only Ya Ya's know it's location....it puts all the other trees to shame with it's flaming orange and red leaves...almost looks like it's on fire...
Don't know anything about Japanese Maples....maybe you should go to Japan and check them out????? :D

Hey slpybear, go to freeplants.com The guy who runs the site, Mike McGroarty, is a bigtime Jap Maple grower. The site has all sorts of neat info on how to propagate them and take care of them along with alot of other info on tree growing. I tried to grow one this spring but the heat down here in the Rio Grande Valley killed it.
