The Woodlands? That's a long drive from Hutto. How far is that from Jasper?

It will possibly be a shorter drive from Hutto than from Jasper. It is a good neutral site.

from Jasper to College Park, 120 miles approximately.

from Hutto to College Park, 150 miles approximately.

so it is a slight travel advantage for Jasper, but that is probably about as even as one can get and still get a good baseball park. For Jasper's game last night Jasper drove probably 80 to 90 miles and BC drove about 30 miles.

And College Park does have a good stadium with better than average seating for a high school facility. But for Saturday, there is no covering for the fans, so bring your hats and sun blocker. :D

Very nice facility. directions are www.collegeparkbaseball.org

One word of caution. When you turn on 242, the turn into Achievement Drive is not marked very well. We were looking for a cross street, it is actually more like a small drive into what looks like a strip center. We missed it the first time and had to wait a long time at several lights to get turned around, then almost missed it again. but once you find it, the directions take you straight back to the park.

2 hour drive from Giddings, taking Hwy 290 to Brenham and then 105 thru Navasota to Conroe and I45 a few miles south. (4 and 5 pm traffic too)
Hope this might help anyone making this trip.

Good points. And understand, you CANNOT see the stadium from Hwy 242. In fact, you cannot see the stadium after you follow the first part of the directions. But just have faith, and eventually you will find it. :)

Qucker route from Giddings is to go 290 to Hempstead and then go north on 1488. You turn right onto 242 just before you get to 45. The field will be several lights and to the right. If ya get to Whataburger, then you have gone too far. 1488 is a not a great road, 2 lanes, lots of traffic and lights, but its still quicker than going 105.

good luck buffs

That's the route I planned on going anyways!! I compared both and this route looks quicker and it'll get you closer to the stadium.
Thanks.

BC is only about 15 miles to Nederland :p so 30 miles round trip is right :D

kind of like a home game. many Jasper folks have to drive further than that just to get into town. ;)

Who said anything about Jasper not being worried about Hutto?

And I would hope you're happy to be here! It beats being at home! :)

Kep, did you make it down to the State Track meet 2 weeks ago?? I hung out with G2 and ToroChingon. I heard you weren't gonna make and I thought G2 said you made it after all. Is that true? Just wondering?

But the Dogs are so much cuter! :)

And the big question is: can a Hippo catch a Dog?

hippo is the most deadly aniaml to man, so yes the hippo would easily kill a bulldog

that is bad news for the Dogs. but can they catch them if they are fast dogs? ;) :( the leopards couldn't catch them last year. ;)

Good luck to Hutto. These should be some exciting high school baseball games.

This is THE DAY! Good luck to both teams, and may the contests be decided by good play.

We will soon know whether a Dog can outrun a Hippo!

Past records won't mean a thing when the teams hit the field. I think this is going to be a tough series for Jasper.

John Cannon is starting for the Hippos. He's normally the catcher. He's only pitched a few games this year. He's going to the University of Houston.
