Forney comeback eliminates Poteet

At McKinney Boyd, Forney's Tyler Jones scored on a passed ball in the bottom of the seventh to eliminate the area's top-ranked 4A team.

Forney (25-14) advanced to the 4A Region II semifinals for the first time by rallying for five runs in the final four innings. Trailing Poteet (28-5), 4-0, after three innings of the deciding game of the best-of-3 series, Forney scored three times in the fourth and tied the game in the sixth on Dustin Ivy's RBI double.

Jones led off the seventh with a double to center, advanced to third on a fly ball and scored on the passed ball with two outs.
