i think i would, it would be fun.

there is talk about him and mike tyson going in the to mma ring and doin work. i personally am not a fan of mma, but i would watch this, i think it would be fun....2 stand up fighters going at it. kimbo is starting to actually learn technique to go with his hard punches. i still say a boxer would easily take him.

TKO by slice in the 3rd round. Both are extremely sloppy fighters. Thompson is a big, lumbering oaf. Kimbo has KO power in every punch, but no technique. He has poor ground defense, and swings for the fences on every punch. If Kimbo were fighting a decent opponent he would have went down tonight. Fight did not match the hype....as I suspected. Fighting in someone's backyard is not the same as fighting MMA in the ring.

EliteXC is more about the show than the fight.

Yes. That fight wouldnt have stopped while he was still standing. Well....occasionally, but only if "the fighter is not intelligently defending himself". He was still fighting back so I doubt it would have been stopped.

I just saw sportscenter highlights of the fight and the ref called TKO because the guy wasn't defending himself and he was getting the dome pounded. In the second round, Kimbo rocked him on 3 straight hits and the guy was pretty much done after that.



The ref had to stop the fight or Kimbo was going to literally beat his brains in. Wasn't the guy bleeding out of his ear? That's what it looked like. Either way, he was taking shot after shot, so the ref stopped it.

During the second round Kimbo was on the ground taking elbow after elbow and not defending himself. He had to lay there for a minute after the round because he was in a daze. Honestly, I dont care either way because I think they are both sub-par fighters considering the talent level in the UFC, but lets call it both ways. This was a media gem and they made the most of it. Let them finish. Fighters can get hurt and turn it around. Because he was stunned, doesnt mean the fight was over.
