I read this in a book I'm reading. The old guys that started the game of golf in Scotland were trying to decide on how many holes a regulation golf course should be. One of them figured out that there were 18 shots in a fifth of scotch, so they made it 18 holes so that it would be 1 shot of scotch per hole.

If those guys could drink a fifth of scotch and even be able to find the 18th tee box, AND then find their horse or whatever the came on....... that's pretty impressive.:clap: :clap: :clap:

I WASN'T a willing participant in the consumation. I wasn't even a willing participany in the marriage. 31 yrs. !!!!!! Dammit. I'd probably be out of the pen by now, if I'd a said no. Thanks, Red, you just ruined my day.:mad: :mad: :D

I play all the time with some with some guys that are scratch golfers and below that drink 8-10 beers a round and can flat out play, but I have never seen anyone drink that much scotch or whiskey per round. That's crazy.:confused: :confused:

If I were to take a shot of scotch every hole, I can promise you I would not make it past hole # 5, maybe #6. I would by then have left my cart parked under a tree, and I would have jumped in the cart with the beer cart girl, showing her how good I can sing. Yeeeeeaaaawwwwwwbaby !!!!!!!:D :D :D :D

speaking of golf... I was watching a rerun of America's Funniest Home Videos the other day - there was one video of this little boy - about 2 or 3 years old. He's got one of those plastic golf clubs in his hands and the mom says, "Show us how daddy does it" so, he swings the club, then he throws/slings the club and says "Dammit".....

It was too funny - the mom was trying her best to correct him and explain that's not a nice way to behave but she was laughing so hard, she couldn't do it...........
