Calvin Howell a great defensive tackle from San Antonio has verbally committed to the Horns! This is great because this was one position that is needed for the Horns in this class. Hopefully more great news on this outstanding class will be coming. Good news indeed.

phil, did you see where DJ Monroe, recuit for UT next fall, won the 4A 100 meter dash as well as ran the anchor leg for the 4A 4 X1 champs as well

That usually doesn't happen until they get to Austin! :p

True, but not always.

Robert Joseph & Ramonce Taylor come to mind as kids with less than stellar track records off the field that Texas has signed in the past.

(DJ Monroe is a good kid from all reports back home. He's from Angleton, about 25 minutes from Sweeny. Small but very fast. Should be an outstanding DB & return man for Texas.)
