4 person scramble - meals on wheels fundraiser in the morning - the stephenville lions club recruited me to be on their team
cash game (18 holes) in the afternoon

sunday
my regular cash game (18 holes) at 1:30

ok - i will explain it as best i can

it is a $7 buy in - $5 goes towards the team game, $2 goes towards skins

we will divide into 4 person teams - and we all play our own ball...
for our team score, we add together the 2 lowest scores for that hole...
so if we have a 3, 3, 4, and 8 - we take the 2 3's and our team total for that hole is 6....
if it is just 2 teams, we do match play per hole and its whatever team is up the most after 18 wins.......
if there are more than 2 teams, we just keep a running total, which ever team shoots the lowest, using only 2 scores per hole, wins the team game... (usually 4-8 over par wins)

for the $2 skins, it is straight skins, that's why we play our own ball....

we usually have about 16 people...i wish we would play for more, but its been this way for years...

My youngest and oldest sons are flying to Florida this afternoon to spend 2 full days of playing golf with my middle son....... you boys and your golf......... ;)

update:

thursdays round = a decent 77....2 birdies, 7 bogies, and 9 pars...

fridays round = a bad 83...a triple on a par 3 where my ball disappeared into thin air and a ball i hit out of bounds that turned into a double.....i had a birdie and a bunch of pars in there somewhere....

the scramble this morning should be fun - our team doesnt have a chance though....

update:

our team shot -9 in the scramble - we werent even close to winning, i think -16 won..

they decided to aerate the greens and cover them with sand yesterday - they were absolutely terrible...

in the afternoon cash game, i shot a pretty good 76, the greens cost me at least 3 shots - i won a chunk of change in the skins game, i had 3 of the 5 that were out...

after we were done paying bets, a few of the guys who had been in the clubhouse a while goes 'HEY - there are 8 of us in here, so lets all put $8 in a pot and go play 8 and 9 - low gross total wins, ties split'

so 5 guys who had been drinking for 2 hours, and the 3 who were in my group go to the #8 tee and i ended up making par on both holes, along with one other guy, so we split $64 - not a bad day at the office if you ask me...

final update:

shot 81 yesterday - hit 3 balls out of bounds, but managed to make bogey on all 3 holes - could have easily been a pretty good 75....oh well.....
