I didn't get to make it either Sinton 75 but I have heard (and this from second hand information so take it with a grain of salt) that Sinton did good and so did Refugio who looks like they may be back as a power in 2A football. I also heard that the Sinton Freshman tied Refugio and that Refugio was playing sophomores. Not much information but maybe it is better than nothing.

Saw on Refugio's site that they each scored once. Refugio says Sinton's passing game is working well as they completed about 80% of what they threw. Refugio reporter says both squads looked good, but gave the edge to Sinton because they moved the ball consistently.

I read their site.It looks like the Pirates have reloaded and are still a force to reckon with.

It appears that ReFugio maybe getting their old form back.

Freshman scrimmage GP. Had A td but rule rb step outbound around 20. Heard GP had sophmore players.Score 0-0.Jvs didnt see to hot had to retreat to cooler climates.Varisty lineman look good, almost like they were ready for the season.Passing was sharp, but too early to tell if refugio is weaker than most opp sinton will see.I saw the first 40 mins and sinton dominated the line offense and defense. Look one sited to me. GO Pirates :) :)

Thanks, SFIA, appreciate the report. Would be interesting to find out what the Sinton coaches think about Refugio. Also wonder if Odem went to watch? I know one of the Odem coaches, lives across the street from me. Might just have to give him a call. wink
