4 big 12 teams in the top 17 Looks pretty good to me.

I don;t think UT or Tech will be as good as ESPN thinks they will.

I think Sam Bradford/Tebow will win the Heisman.

Its a good thing we have Mizzou at home this year. on the road at TECH could be deadly.... and one game I think that some of us Longhorn fans are overlooking is our little trip out west to El Paso 2nd week of the season. That game has death trap/upset special written all over it. Reminds me a lot of last years game at CFU. and throw in the fact that UTEP's whole theme this spring has been BEAT TEXAS!

of said tickets.

Giddy up man! If you're in the know, I would love to find out more. It's almost impossible to find out anything during the month of May for us. All the coaches are on the road recruiting, and most of the secretaries can't give you very much info.

Wow, that would be awesome if it were true. From my experience, most players get tickets in less than stellar areas. I have gotten tickets from players that were either in the student section or 30 yard line. End zones to 10 yard line for away games.
The tickets are free and season ticket holders and alumni pay a pretty penny for 50 yard line seats.

Good luck though, maybe Tech is different.

Texas Tech will beat UT and the rest of the Big12 ... OU is a toss up though.. if they can go one loss and OU go undefeated they will get a BCS. If they throw out an upset with OU again though there is a chance for them to be "the best"

UT's year is going to be even more disappointing than last year..

Tech always has a load of talent but history shows, you can't win with that run and shoot for some reason. I ain't gonna sit here and tell you how smart I am on football, but when was the last time anybody won the National Championship throwing the ball 60 times a game. Run and shoot and similiar versions of it are fun to watch but against the big boys it = disappointment.

But I'll be rootin' for them, except against UT!

Haven't confirmed where they are for 2008 but in past years they've been located between the 45's on the visitors side. I'm told they're typically in Section 19 but you could also end up with Section 4.

Tech should be really good, might even play a little defense. Let's see if Leach will run the ball a little bit & punt occasionally too from own territory.

A&M is a sleeper, depends on how quickly they adapt to new schemes & coaches. Schedule much more favorable than last year's gauntlet.

Texas is way overrated at #8 - name/tradition only. Not saying Texas won't be good, but not #8 preseason good.

OU will be tough until bowl game.

Kansas? Should be pretty decent, if Mangino avoids heart attack the man can coach.

No, I know the past & the present. You & others only know the present.

But right now, since the Ags have punched Texas in the mouth 2 years running, let's go with that one. ;)

And the LSS is looking good too for overall program, thanks!

my red raiders have 18 returning starters(10 o, 8 d) and Crabtree and Harrell coming back. Also Tech had the leading defense in NCAA last year after the new defensive coordinator started after the OSU game.

I read something similar to that too, but how could that be when Texas hung 50+ on Tech in Austin & the bowl game wasn't great for the defense either (probably not counting that game)?

Stats for before & after?

I agree the Big 12 is going to be very tough this year. However, I don't see OU choking like people are saying they will. OU had a very young team last year and most of those guys return. They know how to win in the regular season, but the bowl games are another story. But then again, you can't discuss bowls without going through the season first. If anyone will choke, it's Tech. Tech has seen this scenario play out before with a stud quarterback and lots of starters returning. Tech's defense will have to prove itself first. Everyone knows how good the offense is and has always been. If Tech can come out and prove that they have some defense, then they will have a great year. If they don't, look for another mediocre bowl game with over hyped losses to UT and OU.

best statistical defense in BIG 12 conference play (don't count any games before Okie Lite) after Ruffin took over the defense.

there are teams i cant stand in the Big XII, however, that is good because i know that the football teams feel the same about other teams in the conference...mostly every other team but the one they play one. the XII is gonna be THE premier confernce in college football this year. it usually is, but this year i think it will be undeniable. the N & S will be tough and with the amount of talent flowing through the teams, this could very well be a year to remember for college football. then agian...every year we are all blessed to watch the burnt orange grace the field is a year to remember.
