Sexson suspended 6 games

Richie Sexson, the 6-foot-7 helmet-throwing Mariner, was suspended for six games and fined for his role in yesterday's brawl. The suspension was supposed to start tonight, but he's appealing.

Mariners starter Felix Hernandez was fined. So was Rangers catcher Gerald Laird and pitcher Sidney Ponson.

Not sure what Ponson did. I'll see if I can find out.

How many games did Moises Alou get when the Expos & Astros had the big brawl years ago & Alou (then w/ Expos) threw the helmet & badly cut Astros mgr. Terry Collins' lip? Pedro Martinez instigated that one back in his headhunting days & it was a quite a fracas.

Sexson got off light w/ 6 games & Bob Watson won't change it on appeal. Question is going to be upcoming games between these 2 teams & if anything more happens...
