I may have had Home / Visitor incorrect. Got a text from my daughter who is there that said we were Visitor, but BC made the last out, and is going out on "D" in the top of the 8th.........

j/k Didn't sound like BC was on offensively, but Needville's pitching could have had something to do with it. ALTHOUGH - BC has hit everyone else this year!

It was a really enjoyable game to watch! Pitching dominated early, and for the first 3 innings Needville was only able to manage 2 base runners, while Bridge City was set down in order. In the fourth Bradley Porras ripped a sole home run to over the scoreboard in left field to give the Bluejays a 1-0 lead. But Bridge City answered in the bottom of the frame, with two outs and a man on first Blake Hubbard singled to right which the right fielder kick around and allowed Hicks to score from first. Both pitchers settled into their grooves and shut down the offenses for the rest of regulation. In the top of the 8 Kody Neel led off the inning with a bang sending a Hick’s slider over the right center field fence. McGuire set down the Cardinals in order in the 8 to secure the Game 1 win. Game 2 is tonight in Humble at 7:30
