I don't know why this bugs me, but it does...shouldn't it be 3A without the dash? :crazy1:

La Vega has a legitimate shot if they can sweep the relays. I don't think they took anyone else to state though.

my bet is Dallas Madison...they hurt their chances though by getting DQ'd in the 4 x 100 at District....but they will possibly win both the 4x200 and 4x400 as well as the 400. Not sure what else they are competing in. Need to research it more

Madison also has a 300 hurdler with a chance to win. Since you qualify in a relay as a team, Nathan Sowells will be running hte 4x200. He won the Class 4A 400 meter title last year while at Pinkston

Atlanta has a lot of competitors. They might be close....

If the Wylie boys can get to the winners stand (1,2,or 3) in both the relays along with a legitamate shot at winning the 800 meters they can make some noise.

Getting some key runners healthy that didn't run at regionals is going to be crutial though.

My Prediction....

Madison-
1st in 4 x 200 (if Sowells runs, 2nd if he doesnt)
1st in 4 x 400
1st in 400
1st in 300 hurdles
Z motion 10 out on 2

Vernon really has dropped of the map in track and field. I can't recall when the last time we had a real dominate performer. That is sad as we used to have some real speed here in Vernon in the 1990s.

Wow I just looked over the UIL website archives and Vernon has not had a decent team at state since 1999. Wow that is crazy.
