I've had strep for over a week now. They first gave me Amoxicillin but that wasn't good enough and didn't help. Now I'm taking penicillin and it appears to be helping much better.

Yeah, penicillin is the panacea cure-all of antibiotics. There's alot of doctors out there that won't give out penicillin anymore. I only go to doctors that don't have a problem giving out penicillin shots.


Hey, it even cures alot of STDs, so it can't ALL bad!:D

The only thing I am allergic to is Penicillin....I had a reaction to Amoxicillin so they won't give me that either.

I'm glad I don't get sick much!!
