I am still skeptical because Peter Vescey is the one who wrote the article.

I think the plan was to bring in a defensive minded coach, and just let Kidd and Dirk run the offense on their own with limited input.

they are saying its not true that they are close to hiring and not even having talks about the contract yet but he is the leading frontrunner
