Debauchery has long been a staple of athletes (for a hundred years and longer)

they get away with it because we admire them for at least something

we are willing to put up with rodmans',malones', owens', and even bonds' because they provide us with great entertainment and wins on the field.

If bond was in any other profession, he would never have even been given the OPPORTUNITY to reach the heights he is at now

it's our fault---we expect only victory, and anything else becomes secondary as long as we continue to win

hopefully someday it will change, but i won't be holding my breath

personally i don't care about the athlete's; i just feel bad for their kids

of course, illegitmacy rates around the country are soaring, sadly
