1. Remember who you are talking to.

2. Won't it be a little late for a trip to Salt Lick?

Are you going to be there at all Friday (besides the Salt Lick, if you go)?

Highly unlikely. :( I haven't earned any vacation time yet and "need" to work. I'm sad that I won't be there to watch & cheer for our 2 kids. And just as sad that I'll miss sitting out in the heat sweating & playing "H&S" with you all. ;)

45 minutes? You missed the best part of the meet! Well, I don't matter anyway. If I'm there I'll be coming back right after the meet Saturday night.

Friday night the running events aren't over until 9:30!!  I would think the Salt Lick would be closed by then & way out in the boonies.

I won't be there Saturday, but if y'all go have fun!!

How can you go to a track meet & miss the MILE RELAY??? That is the most exciting relay, IMO!

You're supposed to go to the bathroom during the mile! That's why they put it right before the mile relay!

I had to be there early one year to watch some jumps. It's much nicer not leaving until after noon.

Well, the exception is not actually specific to the state track meet. It actually refers to any state championship.

LOL!! I think my husband is already dreading being stuck in a vehicle with me AND my daughter all the way to Austin.

On a brighter note though.....since we will mostly be traveling under the cloak of darkness, we won't mind pulling over on the side of the road if the need arises.

*note to self - pack toiler paper*
