Current West pole vaulter, ranked #2 in the Nation in high school pole vaulters, recently won the Regional meet in Commerce with a personal best of 17' even. He had three tries at 17'4" to try the Nation leader, but was unsuccessful. He will now try to repeat as 3A state champ in Austin. Let's give him a hand.

That's very impressive.

On a side note, (Colton Sandman sp.) from Bellville won the region with a jump of 15' 2''.

Also very impressive.

Impressive. My niece at Texas is the school record holder & ranked in the top 3 nationally. Pole vaulting is tough & so technical. Congrats to the kid.

Where is he going to college with those #s?
