league commissioners have rejected the addition of a +1 game to name the national champion...

I am glad they rejected it. It would have been more smoke blown up our tails instead of giving us a playoff.

It would've been a playoff. +1 means 4 team playoff. 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3...winners play in the "+ 1" game.

read in i think the statesman......that the blame will go the PAC 10, Big 10 and Rose Bowl...for it's failure......or at least it sounded like SI was going to paint that picture.

4 wasn't really enough. You need at least the top 8 (top 16 would be even better).
