At our Region III meet in humble, we got to see 5A Hightower Boys run 1.24 in the 4x200... and the anchor leg was not pushed at all, no one with in 30 yards of him.

by the way, I am not a fan of the 3A-5A format as it is in Humble. Everything is centered around the 5A events. Its like the 3A division is "just in the way"...

Im glad we are going back to Kingsville...

Snyder Ran a 43.03 in the 4x100,
Kenneth Turner Ran like won the 100 and 200m going away and got second in the long jump. Snyder finished 3rd at the meet but should finish in the top 3 teams at the state meet.

Abilene Wylie ran a 42.84 in the prelims on Saturday for the fastest time of the meet.

Had handoff problem. Too bad they didn't run that time on Saturday.

I don't know where that information came from and it might be right. However, there are some mistakes and discrepencies in the Region 1 -3a results.

For example. The girls 1600 meter relay states that it to was a record and in fact it was. However, the winning time was a 3.54.41 not a 3:51.41 as indicated.

I have video of theh entire race and a shot of the official time posted on teh score board.

In addition, the final results from txrunning have not been posted.

So we will see if it was a 66 or 62 when the official results are posted

Snyder is sending a 4x100 relay, 100m,200m and Long jump to state. all with top times. Several who may have out scored Snyder at the meet with several 4th,5th places will not go to austin. Snyder Finished 3rd at the regional meet in Odessa behind Argiyle who won it and a couple of points behind Wylie( Wylie had several 4th and 5th places). Snyder could very easily score 40-50 points at Austin. that can land 2nd or 3rd team wise. Only 1st and second places get to go to Austin. 3rds,4ths, and 5ths get to read about it.:)

Our girls finished 2nd to them on Saturday with a 3:56:02.

They are excited to get another chance on May 9th.

My daughter anchors the 1600 meter relay. She is a freshman and ran a 56.9 split Saturday. Just not enough to catch the Grimes girl from Canyon.

It is gonna be a great race.

Whitesboro and Pilot Point were placed in District 8 after football season this year to make room for Lovejoy and Frisco Liberty in District 9 - neither fielded a varsity football team but did field varsity teams in the rest of their sports.

Whitesboro will be back in Region 2 next year in d9 again.

I cant remember who or what time they ran but I'm pretty sure it was the girls 4x2 relay from a 5a school and they ran an absolutley rediculous time.

Sorry for the lack of details. That's all I got.

When I saw Fort Worth Wyatt bust out a 39.76 my senior year at the state track meet in the 4x100 and then turn around and run a 1:23:31 in the 4x200 two weeks later I knew I didn't need to see another track meet ever...

Both national records...those times are just flat sick

I think it was like 1:21 in the 4x2 or something like that. I ain't totally sure.

I think this girl's relay team broke the state record by like 4 secs or something. Atleast that's what I heard. I think the old record was 1:24. Their time was just straight up amazing if it's true.

Other than OA & MRT, I'm not seeing any Region I results. I did find that he threw 62' 4" 3/15/08 at the Jesuit Sheaner Relays and 60' 10" at their district meet. So, who knows?
