Is he as successful as he was in Sealy now at Permian?

OP started out like a house afire this season but I saw they lost last week. He hasn't lived up to the high expectations there. It's not as easy to recruit in West Texas as it was in Sealy apparently.

Nope, he has yet to finish a season at Permian above .500.

I just love the fact that Coach Mills has completely fallen flat on his face since taking the Odessa Permian job. And you're probably right, having a much harder time recruiting over there in West Texas than he did in the west part of the Houston area and surrounding area.

Wow, jealousy rears its ugly head!

Sounds like the Tarpons got beaten one too many times by the Tigers for some of us. It should be noted that Mills was at Sealy for 15 years before he won a championship. He wont have that kind of time in Odessa.

Actually, TJ was only in Sealy for 13 years. There's still a lot of jealous folks out there who have to try to rationalize why they couldn't deal with that 63 - 1 streak. Once in a while, excellent talent and excellent coaching come together and some team rips off one of those long winning streaks. Losers say the same things about Coach Moore that they say about TJ and other successful coaches. Take them for waht they are - jealous losers.

If the Midland Reporter Telegram was right, Permian and Midland High are pretty much playing for 3rd place in District tonight. Abilene probably has first and second tied up, unless something really freaky happens. I'm sure our game will be full of updates on Permian/Midland tonight!!
