I still don't believe in trading down

The talent level drops a little- even at these rounds in the draft.

But thats what these GM's are paid for making decisions with the help of the coaches

By trading down they dont have to pay players that they draft. Its all about the $$$$$$$. They have spent all they want to and want to get cheaper players.

I dont mind trading down in the middle rounds...those xtra picks in future years could allow you to move up next in year in like round 2...

I guess they are letting go of Tyson Thompson too. I kept waiting for them to get a receiver but I guess JJ is content with the group he has.

Yes, read where RB Felix Jones will wear Thompson's old #28. Some other new numbers are CB Pac-Man Jones #21 (in honor of Deion), TE Martellus Bennett #80, CB Mike Jenkins #31 (Roy William's old number) and Williams will get his college # 38.

The Cowboys site had some pics from a draft party in Arlington. They had several defensive players there, including someone wearing the #38 jersey, and I was like who the hell is #38? LOL. It took a little digging but I figured out who he was. :D

The good thing, we won't see #31 getting burned deep over and over. :D

If Bennett is wearing #80, then I guess Anthony Fasano is out of Dallas.

He was traded along with Akon Aydeole to the Fins for a 4th round pick on Friday

Wow...never even saw that...guess it makes sense since Parcells had brought them both in, but giving up both for a 4? That seems steep.
