GREAT start for the Spurs so far. But lets not get too ahead of ourselves....a lot of basketball left to play. If Tony keeps hitting the shots he has been, they can keep him out of the paint all they want to.

spurs up 18 to 8 early in 1st. For anyone watching you can't doubt that duncan still has the dominance he use to. He does it quietly most of the time. But early in this one he is blocking shots stopping shaq and dunking on stoudemire. not to mention nailing jump shots from 21 feet out.

GO SPURS GO!!!

So Shaq goes 1 out of 4 at the free throw line. He actually made the first two but crossed the free throw line before the ball reached the basket. That's a no no. Then he gets a standing ovation from the Phoenix crowd as he is walking to the bench after a hard foul and Manu.

The Spurs are up 61-47 at the half after a buzzer beater by Tony Parker. He has 19 points in the first half. This another good, physical game by both teams.

Chris Paul, Deron Williams, and Steve Nash get most of the headlines as the leagues top point guards but Tony Parker may actually be the best of all of them right now. In the playoffs there isnt another point guard I would rather have. BTW im a huge spurs hater but credit has got to be given where it is due they have dominated this series.

I think what a lot of people overlook, too, is that Parker is only two years older than Williams and three years older than Paul. With everything he's already accomplished, you don't think of Parker as one of the league's young stars, yet he's only 25.

I thought this game would be more of a struggle for the Spurs, I thought they'd lose... not because I don't think they'll win the series, but AT Phoenix with Phoenix really needing a win, I figured this would be the game they'd lose... did not expect this result, dominance...
