That has me scratching my head too. With Zach Thomas in the mix, I knew an inside linebacker would be getting the boot. I honestly didn't see them giving up Fasano. I guess JJ was really desperate to get back that pick he sent to the Titans.

I dont mind Fasano...I think Tony Curtis is OK as a backup TE....I bet the Cowboys use a FB more anyway with Deon Anderson...

there is depth at LB but only getting a 4th rounder for two proven guys???

This has to be a money deal. I can't understand why you would give up a defensive starter and the backup TE for a 4th round pick. I guess the COWBOYS needed the money to sign Pacman, or Jerry is about to make a deal on draft day and needed a little extra green in his pocket.

I think it saves them about 1 million.

I think it's a good deal. They were going to cut Adoyle anyway. Fasano has been a disappointment and Curtis is a very athletic kid that may give you more than Fasano.

Also, remember this 4th rounder is at the beginning of the 4th so they are basically getting a 3rd rounder.
