Last Sunday DISH Network turned on Versus for me but blocked it out since I was getting a local feed. Tonight there isn't a local feed...I wonder if we'll get it locally again? Sure wish there was a way to find out.

You'd sure hope.

Luckily, I got DirecTV when Versus was still on the basic package. If I were a hockey fan without Versus, I'd be fed up with all of the satellite providers right now.

Forgot to mention for anybody who was wondering about the matchup:

The Stars were 4-2-2 against the Sharks this year, getting 10 out of a possible 16 points.

the Sharks were 4-4 against the Stars this year, gaining 8 of a possible 16 points.

isn't hockey nice the way that one team can be considered two games over .500 in a matchup and the other can be a .500 team?

Overtime losses count like ties used to, hence the Stars 4-2-2 record. The Sharks won two games in overtime, so those still count as wins, so they were 4-4.

Games in Dallas…the Stars were 1-2-1
Games in San Jose…the Stars were 3-1-1

In Dallas…Stars had 12 goals to the Sharks 12
In San Jose…Stars had 13 goals to the Sharks 8

The Stars will win a game in San Jose...I think they’re more likely to win tonight than in Game 2.

Games in Dallas...the Stars were 1-1 (both shutouts)
Games in Detroit...the Stars were 0-2

In Dallas ...Stars had 1 goal to the Red Wings 3
In Detroit...Stars had 4 goals to the Red Wings 9

Just throwing this out there for VERY NEAR future reference.:D

Why does a team having 10 Stanley cups and rafters full of these
scare you?

I feel dirty...kinda...

I'm calling DISH Network and threatening to cancel because they only offer Versus in their highest package. I would be close to $110 for this pkg w/ HD, etc...I'm already paying $94/month and refuse to pay anymore. So I'll threaten to move over to AT&T or Verizon FIOS and see where that gets me...

We'll see if this gets me anywhere...

That wasn't too bad...I got them to give me $15 off my bill every month, I still don't have a contract with them, and I now get the Golf Channel and Versus in HD! :D:D:D
