Bandera and Llano played tonight for the district championship. The game started off ugly, with Llano getting a home run and going up 3-0 and eventually 8-3. In the sixth the run started, Bandera rallied back to make it 8-7. Lance Dickey of Llano knocked a solo home run to make it 9-7, and in the bottom of the seventh Bandera came up to bat at a solid point in their line up. First batter was struck out, second (the top of the lineup now) got on base, third got on, then came our stud, ethan lutz, and he had a double that knocked both in. Right down third base line, all the way to the fence. Courtesy runner came in, sacrifice hit sent him third, pitcher threw an errant ball, and he stole home for the win. Very intense game, played well by both sides. Llano showed Bandera some bats that we werent expecting. Great job by Coach Vossen and the dogs to get their first title in...well a very long time.
