Rockets wont make it either. I think its going to be the Suns and the Celtics.

No way, & Rockets miss inside game with Yao too, so no to both. I just hope Houston can win a series after all they've gone thru this year.

Celtics & Lakers like old days...hope I am wrong on Lakers too. Can't stand Kobe Bryant.

They're the 7th seed, so the odds are against them. I say no, but the '95 Rockets won it all being the 6th seed.

May be this is what the Mavs need this year. The pressure is not on them as much because they are not the 1 seed. I think they will win the 1st round, but it gets alot harder from there.

True, but Dallas hasn't fared well against the better teams in the West. Dallas is very capable of beating any team in the playoffs and it wouldn't be that big of an upset. Not having home court makes their chances much tougher.

San Antonio vs. Boston

That's the way I see it playing out. I don't think Dallas has enough this year to get it done, although I would love to see it. I don't see anyone beating the Celtics --- unless the referees start calling fouls when Garnett grabs players at every turn. I don't know if anybody has noticed this, but if you ever watch the Celtics on defense you'll see what I'm talking about.

I'm a HUGE Mavs fan, all the way back to the days of us winning 12 games a year in those green/blue/white jerseys.

With that said, we will be lucky to make it out of the first round. I actually think the winner of the Spurs/Suns series will get on a roll and make it to the NBA Finals.

Suns Celtics. Mavs lucky to get out of first round. Suns win the championship in 6.

That is very possible.

Comparing the Mavs to the '95 Rockets is interesting. Rockets acquired Drexler late that year (just like Mavs did Kidd) but the Rockets had the best player in the NBA then named Olajuwon. Rockets got on a serious roll & won their 2nd championship in a row. Don't see that happening with Dallas.
