It's not a rattlesnake, so it doesn't really bother me.....if we don't get it, the cat will.

I don't think this is a football related post. What is wrong with this picture?

P.S.
I'm just trying to give you a hard time, I can definitely understand your frustration, but I just can't resist. ;)

If he was a Rattler from Navasota, it could be a football related post. Let me call Coach Fedora and see if all his players are accounted for. :D

It's just a little bull snake...I'm not scared of it, but I don't think it would have the guts (literally) to make it all away across the house to my bedroom past 2 dogs and 2 cats!!

Those things will bite too!!! I HATE snakes...I killed a bull snake in Kansas...wasn't sure what kind it was...it was dark and it had its head up about to strike at my daughter. I kill first and identify later.

BTW...If I were in your position I would not have fed the dog or cat so they woul be hungry...AND I would have evacuated the house

I don't know if these are tarantulas or "wolf spiders"...it just depends on who you ask.

I saw one in my driveway a couple of days ago....you really seem to see them if it rains a little.

That is what I call a wolf spider too!!

Another disagreement we have is what those scorpion looking bugs are. They look like a scorpion without the tail...but all pincher things.

I hear some people call the vinegarones and some call them "child of the earth".

This? (Vinegarone)
http://kellynewcomer.com/imagesnews/vinegaroon.jpg

Or this? ("child of the earth")

Q. Is there a spider called the "Child of the Earth"?
A. Yes, this is one of the many names given to the Solifugae. Other names are Solpugids, Wind scorpions, Camel spiders, Sun spiders or Child of the Earth spiders. Click here for some info.

There was a picture of this also when I pulled "vinegarone"
I also found reference to an insect called the Jerusalem Cricket. This black-and-orange-banded, modified sand cricket is one of the most distinctive-looking creatures found anywhere. Adults can reach up to 2 inches long (30-50 mm). Commonly referred to as "potato bugs," even though they do not prefer potatoes and are technically not bugs, they are also called niņa de la tierra (child-of-the-earth), stone cricket or chaco. Believed by some to be fierce and poisonous, this nocturnal cricket is actually non-aggressive and possesses no poison glands, although its jaws can inflict a painful bite. Jerusalem crickets are found throughout the western United States, along the Pacific Coast, and south into Mexico.
