Center Size

Why does it seem that the center is often the smallest, sometimes significantly smaller, member of the offensive line? Is there an advantage to having a smaller center?

Giddings always seems to have a small center now that you mention it, dont know why though?

faster.....unless you are playing a nose which is only about 25% of the time the center is out on LBers an the speed is a nice asset

most likely, but we dont know yet. Between me and another guy..
