i know this has come up, but here is the schedule for receiving your economic stimulus check....

http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/7995/dfawc6.jpg

Here is a good article explaining, clearly, how much you are eligible for and what the restrictions/boundaries are:

"Compliments of this year's Economic Stimulus Act, most single filers will get a $600 rebate and married couples $1,200. Parents will get an extra $300 for every dependent child under age 17."

The restrictions are basically that if you make over a certain amount, your stimulus check amount goes down $50 per $1,000 you are over the limit.

ha, if you must know I didn't find my answer there and had to check the irs site.

Q. Can I have my Stimulus Payment direct deposited?

A. Stimulus Payments will be direct deposited for taxpayers who select that option when filing their 2007 tax returns. Taxpayers who already filed and requested direct deposit won't need to do anything else to receive the Stimulus Payment. Taxpayers who did not request Direct Deposit for their 2007 refund will receive a paper check by mail. The IRS reminds taxpayers who haven't filed their 2007 returns yet that Direct Deposit is the fastest way to get both regular refunds and Stimulus Payments.

I guess those of us that have the wonderful opportunity to pay Uncle Sam - have no choice in the matter and get the snail mail paper checks :( Oh well - judging from husbands SS# - we'll get the check in early July - so hopefully it will be waiting in my mailbox when we get home from Daytona Beach ;)

Let me make sure I understand this. My daughter is 21, is a full time student, and was listed as a dependent on our tax return, but I get $0 back for her??? But if she were still 17 or under and living at home, I would get $300, even though she costs me more now??? And she works and made about $4000 last year, but since she is my dependent, she does not get her $600??? Yep, sounds like your typical dumbass government plan to me!!!:flaming: :foul: :thmbdwn:

I had to pay this year too, and mailed out my check, but because I used Turbotax on-line, it gave me the option of getting the rebate direct deposit. Actually, I didn't even have to enter the info - it was saved from last year info I entered. I think I suppose to recieve $1,500.. but if you subtract what I paid it's less in the end.

hmm.... according to the schedule, I should get it by May 9th yeah!

So the d/a got that remark back to him. (about 2 weeks later he got FIRED because of his insubordinate attitude and actions)
