No not really, I offer this preview on the team from sasports.com article by Mitch Worthington,
Wimberley Texans
Coach: Weldon Nelms
Last Season: 4-6, 1-4 in district
District Prediction: 3rd (25-3A)
Returning Starters (O/D): 6/5
Key Game: at Liberty Hill, Oct. 10. The Texans will have a full non-district schedule to get things back in order after last season's disappointing results. They'll open the district slate at Liberty Hill, and they should leave with a clearer idea of where they'll be when the dust settles on District 25-3A.
Summary: After their amazing regional finals run in 2001, the bottom fell out for Wimberley in 2002. The biggest disappointment for the Texans was that as many starters as they lost going into the 2002 season (17), they still could have done better than they did. They lost a close 40-36 game in Llano, and then dropped a 22-8 decision to Liberty Hill at home; they'd beaten both teams by more than 20 points the year before. Wimberley looks to capitalize on a slightly weaker Liberty Hill squad and break back into the playoffs this season. There's talent at nearly every position on the field, and there's tons of depth. QB Heath Churchman will start for the second year, and should benefit from another year in the system. There are no fewer than five candidates at running back; among them are senior Blake Fernandez and junior Ray Skunda, both of whom run a 4.6 40-yard dash. The Texans will be led on both lines by Derek Kothmann, Keagan McIlvain and Bryan Buse.
