Went to Galveston today to Moody Gardens and then to Gaido's Sea Food place

Dropped $200 -doesn't take long to spend that much

When my wife was a young girl, her grandfather had her believe that he was the one who caught the giant crab that sits on top of the building.

Their seafood is probably the best in Galveston.

Fisherman's wharf has better food IMHO. Try the ultimate crabcake. About 1 1/2 pound of lump crab meat with just barely enough cake to be cake. Be sure to go to the air museum next to Moody garden's at the airport. One of the most famous fighters of WWII is there. The Texas air hall of fame is is informative, large and awe producing. Several famous WWii pilots are from texas...Jimmy Doolittle, of the infamous Doolittle bomber raid on Japan from aircraft carriers "Tex" Hill of the Flying tigers and Chenault, head of the Flying Tigers.
