Alice Police Officer Shot While Chasing Suspected Bank Robber

ALICE-KRIS 6 News has learned that an Alice police officer was shot in the leg Thursday morning during a chase for a suspected bank robber. The robbery happened at the Wells Fargo Bank around 10:30 a.m.

Alice police have confirmed that one suspect is dead, another is in custody, and officers are now searching for another suspect near FM 665.

Preliminary reports have the bank robber as a Hispanic male with a long goatee. He was last seen wearing a camouflage jacket, blue jeans and a navy baseball cap and is said to be armed and dangerous.

i went to alice once. and all i remember was cotton farms on the side of the roads, and chicken farmers driving on the roads.

I read the article on the Caller-Times website and a good portion of the replies are about the Burger joint next door to the bank.

One thing that Alice definitely has going for it is Dairy Burger:D

yikes, i was at that bank to do a service call yesterday, glad i did that call yesterday instead of this morning. And yes its seems like there is always one bank robbery a week.
