Yes, and it probably will affect the Mavs too. If the Spurs had won, with the remaining schedule, they had a chance to overtake New Orleans for the #1 seed. But after last night the Hornets now have a 2 game lead with 4 to play and the Hornets hold the tie breaker.

This means the Mavs will lock horns with the Spurs or Lakers in round one, that is unless Utah can finish strong OR the Mavs lose three of the next four and fall to the #8 seed which would match them with NO. I just like the Mavs chances better against NO for some reason. But if I had to pick Lakers or Spurs, I think I'll take the Spurs.
