You folks in the Abilene area watch out you got a big mother storm coming your way.

It is between Big Spring and Sweetwater right now. Will probably be hitting here in just a few minutes. Looks like Snyder got nailed pretty good. Any Snyder folks on here want to tell us how it is? I'm seeing lots of lightning and hearing lots of thunder to the west. Looks like it'll be a wild next hour or two. Just hope the power stays on.
I'll report more once the storm hits. It looks like a monster on the radar!

I got to drive home from Big Spring amidst a hailstorm....hit another one in Greenwood.

It just hit. heavy rain is all so far, and winds picked up, but nothing bad yet. We were needing the rain anyway, just hope for no hail or tornados.

Well that was short and sweet. Looks like it is breaking up now and losing a lot of intensity. But we did get a good and well needed rain out of it. But its just about gone now. Doesnt look like it will pack much of a punch by the time it hits Abilene, but should still have some good rain in it.

The storm has hit DFW. There's a tornado warning just south of my house right now. They say the whole storm is moving about 64 mph so it should all be gone pretty quickly. The power has been surging for the last 10 minutes or so. I believe there is a tornado warning near Mansfield as well.
