They were saying on Sportcenter that a hole in one in the par 3 tournament will get you 6 figures.

what exactly is the par three tournament? I have never heard about it until this year, and I swear I've heard about 100 mentions of it this week.

They have a 9 hole course with nothing but par 3s.
Each hole looked AMAZING in HD. All the ones I saw went over water and it was surrounded by trees that reflected in the water. I think I would shoot 63

They have it on Wednesday of every Master's week. Pays pretty sizable $. But, all the names don't play in it. No one has ever won the par 3 tournament and gone on and won the real deal.

If you have the opportunity read the book The Majors by Fienstein (sp). Lots of good Masters history up to the time of printing.
