The Q and X are not hard to understand, but you would think that there would at least be one mascot that started with N.

Do any mascots end in "s"?

The players, teams and/or students as a collective do but not the mascot.

As an example, at a game where the mascot runs onto the field prior to the game, you would yell "Here comes the Tiger (or lion or yellow jacket). Only when the team (as opposed to the mascot) runs onto the field do you yell "Here come the Tigers!.
