It's not the age of the student, but rather the situation between student & teacher.

you are correct...age doesnt matter....she could be 19 or 20 and it would still be illegal as long as she is still a student

What does 18 have to do with it?? 17 is the age of consent in Texas.

Age has nothing to do with this, it's the fact that she is a student!!

17 and out of HS, while maybe not "morally" legal in some people's eyes is perfectly legal!!

So she's gonna take her daughter down and help her get whatever she needs to get married and then turn around and sue the guy and school district??

As crazy as that sounds....it wouldn't surprise me in the least these days!!
