I don't have anything but I found a few hundred dollars for my dad that he's never claimed.

None for me either. One of the guys I work with has about $7,500 in unclaimed money.

His wife died a couple of months ago and he just doesn't feel like messing with it.

I told him I would file everything he needed....he said that would be great!!

And then he said if he gets any of it back, he will pay me a portion of the proceeds!!

Sometimes it really DOES pay to be nice!!http://www.cross-stitch-board.com/forum/images/smilies/emily_angel.gif

It's just for different things.....bank accounts that have been closed that have money left in them.

My mom had 2 on there a couple of years ago from a Co-op telephone company. When she remarried and disconnected the phones, she had some kind of dividend payment owed to her.

Some of them are stocks that have been sold....that's one I am dealing with now, trying to locate the stock certificate.

There is a claim form on there that you fill out. It should tell what info you need to send....I know that want DL and SS#.

They will assign a case number and after 30 days or so, you can check the progress. We got a letter back asking for additional info.
