I fixed it.

Our very own APPF's daughter competed yesterday and just missed advancing or maybe she did and I misunderstood. She placed 4th.

So, APPF's daughter didn't make the cut? I don't understand the "medalist that advance"? She said her daughter shot a 100.

Well, I'm certainly no expert, but I've paid attention to 44IAR over the years. :p

I think the difference is the team advancing based on overall performance compared to other teams. Then, the "medalists" are the kids that alone had a superior performance, regardless of how the team did. (Don't quote me on this.....I'm sure someone will be more than happy to point out that I'm clueless.)

We had a kid a few (2-3) years ago that made it to state as medalist.

Top 2 teams advance, and the top two medalists advance(medalist are not on the advancing teams).

Okay, so Carson & the Martin boy placed 1st & 2nd individually and so I get that they will be advancing as part of the "team", but do they not advance based on their individual performances? Or is that like double dipping?

Don't shoot me! :D

HAHAHAHA okay the light bulb just went off.........:crazy1:
