So they don't get embarrassed in the playoffs again!

id still rather make the playoffs and get beat rather then not make the tourney at all.

We are seeing the final days of Avery Johnson and maybe even Josh Howard in Dallas.

anybody who is a competitor would want to be in the playoffs.

They just lost to the Lakers in a close one.

Thanks to Avery's marvelous plan of double teaming Kobe with Erick Dampier 50 feet from the basket, leaving Dirk to guard the lane against Gasol and Odom.

I think missing the playoffs would benefit the team more than losing in the first round of the playoffs.

Yeah that was pretty bad. I only saw the last 2 minutes of the game.

when the playoffs begin...the top seed and bottom seed in the West might be 7 games apart. Anything could happen and any team could beat any team on any night. Atlanta will enter the playoffs in the East more than 25 games out of first.

I don't. Missing the playoffs means they finish with a losing record from here on out. I would rather them have the victory of making the playoffs instead of just another setback.

Either way Avery is gone.

So they win a couple of games, make the playoffs, and finish with a losing record from the beginning of the playoffs on out. Yippee!

So you would rather have whatever school you support if they were in position to come in 3rd, go 0-3 the rest of district instead of having to play SLC in the first round and lose?

I don't equate making the playoffs in professional sports to making the playoffs in high school sports at all.

Them missing the play-offs would be terrible..Means Dallas would have to blow the team up..Not enough cap space or truly tradeable players for great draft picks or players in return..The West is basically a crapshoot, get in and anything happens..not make it, no chance

If it was just once, I would of thought it was damp, but it happened a couple of times in a row
