Oh well, kids needed a day off. Baseball is good. We are terrible but getting better. Kids are still having fun despite regular lopsided defeats. Our last outing netted us our first lead of the season as well as our first full 7 inning game. Up until that point we had either been run ruled every game or had it ended early by tournament time limit. I have 13 kids, 7 fish, 3 sophs, 2 jrs, and 1 sr. We are really hopeful for our game tomorrow to break into the win collumn. I knew that this was going to be a really tough job when I took it. In the 7 previous years (all that the school has been open) the baseball team had 1 district win in varsity baseball, it happened last year. Over half of that team graduated, moved, or decided not to play this year so I have basically had to start over from scratch. If I get just 1 win I have doubled the previous win total and will have the best overall winning percentage in school history (maybe I will retire with that feather in my cap .....haha).
