View Full Version : Texas Tech beats #2 Mizzou in the 9th inning...TWICE

After losing Friday's game 1-0 to the #2 ranked Mizzou Tigers, Tech won yesterday 3-2 in come from behind fashion by scoring 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th.

Today, Tech was down 5-0 after 2 innings, 7-3 after 5 innings, and 11-7 heading into the bottom of the 8th (Tech was home team). It's 11-9 going into the 9th, Tech gets a 2 out triple w/ 2 men on to tie the game at 11. Then Mizzou intentionally walks All-American Roger Kieschnick and the next batter to load the bases again. With a 1-0 count, Doug Thennis hits a walk off GRAND SLAM!!!

Tech wins 2 out of 3 in the series.

OMG!!!!, You have got to be kidding...

I went to the games on friday and saturday, but I decided I would give my butt a break from sitting in those bleachers and do a little studying...

DANG IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a few years ago the ags played texas in a double header and in both games an aggie i cant remember his name hit two walk offs to win it!!!

thats a great series win for tech...helps out the other texas schools...think a&m swept ku and texas lost to nebraska...at home that's not good...someone told me baylor got swept by ou....that's not good..................im an aggie but i hate when the other texas schools lose......

I have both games on DVD after transferring them from my OLD VCR tapes from 1989.

yeah i went to a camp at a&m and they showed it to us it was pretty amazing
