Did anyone watch or go to the game in S.A. yesterday? Was a pretty good game. I thought Jordan Shipley did real well in that game.. Was,nt impressed with the stud from Palestine the first half of the game, but he came on strong the 2nd half. Got a little ticked off at him in the 2nd half when he almost knocked Shipley down to get the kick off.

I saw it. Both teams did very well considering the small amount of time they had together (which explained the many times 2 receivers were in the same place). Seems like the kids coming out of HS are bigger and faster every year.

That's the info I was looking for, thanks. It looks like Jordan Shipley lead all receivers in # of catches and receiving yardage. I'll bet he was elated to see some single coverage for a change. Great job Jordan, Burnet is proud to claim you as our own! :)

It's nothing new, but the overall speed of both east and west squads were just awesome! Not many yards made after catching passes by either group. The east linebacker speed was scary.....

I thought that the east was quite a bit faster than the west on both sides of the ball. The guy that really impressed me was that Toal guy from the east. You know you're a stud when you play in an all american game and nobody can take you down. One question about Shipley though, did he block anybody the entire game?

He made the key block that let Adrian Peterson make that long TD play.

My Thoughts on the Game: (as if anyone cares) :D

I was shocked at the size & speed. The smallest lineman was 285lbs.

I was disappointed with Rhett Bhomer, OU can have him, he doesn't have the arm strength or the accuracy I'd expect out of a top recruit.

It was apparent to me that Shipley has some growing pains to go thru before he's effective in Div. I. He has the speed and the hands, but he looked afraid to block against those giants, AND, at that level, you can't go dancing around, because everyone else is fast. However, in single coverage, he was open almost all the time, the QB's just couldn't get the ball to him.

Adrian Peterson really impressed me in the second half. He is worthly of the hype.

Brian Toal (East) was a hoss, It took at least three of the giants to take him down every time he touched the ball.

Theodore Ginn (East)(MVP) was very impressive on special teams.

Raymond Williams (East) was probably the best running back on the field, very impressive.

Last But Not LEAST: I was not impressed at all with the QB's. Other than Xaiver (SP), I didn't see a QB that I'd consider Div. I material.
