Funeral services for former Coach and teacher at Jasper Junior High, Lee Edwards, will be Saturday, March 29 at 2 p.m. at Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper. Visitation will be Friday, March 28, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Lee passed from his earthly life March 23, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Houston Texas surrounded by his wife, daughters, and friends.

He retired from JISD in 2000, having taught and coached there for 10 years. His career spanned 33 years, having taught and coached at Channelview ISD and Sheldon ISD. He lived in Jasper until last summer when he and his wife moved to Baytown.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte of Baytown; three daughters, Mila Edwards of Tyler; Rachel and husband Keith Rawls of Jasper; Keri and husband Trey Hough of Highlands; and one son, Jim and wife Lisa Dorgan of Murietta, California. Grandchildren are Payton and Draven Rawls of Jasper, Josh and Ty Cook and Kyle and Daniel Hough of Highlands, and Matthew, David and Mark Kalata of Murietta, CA.
