I tried to get into one with my church, and all of five people signed up...I haven't played organized baseball/softball for about four years now, and it's driving me nuts.

I used to umpire games for 3afan on Friday nights with my softball uniform on underneath so that I could rush over to Garland for my Friday night leagues...those were some seriously fun times!

I used to play softball quite a bit with some guys from work, but some of them left the company and we can't seem to get enough people interested now.

You sound like my brother. He's in 3 leagues.

Dallas (Walnut Hill/Greenville area) on Mondays
Garland/Mequite (not sure which but think it's Garland) on Tuesdays
Grand Prairie on Fridays

He's so addicted that he joined a team full of guys that know each other from AA (he's not a part but has a friend that is) for the Dallas league. It's the worst rules ever. 6 run limit and HR's that go over the fence are outs. What...a...freakin...joke. I kid him that they probably give out participation trophies at the end of the season.

Home run rules are put in place because the bats are so hot. plus you'd get no game in at all with unlimited HR. Haven't heard of run rules yet?

I don't play so I wasn't aware that they were somewhat common. I go to a few of his games and that's the only league I've seen that in.

My question is this...why not just push the fences back? A home run is and should be part of the game.

If any of ya'll end up playing against Buffy. Will you take a
picture of her running to first base and post it on here?

Also, will ya'll help me remember to not go to any M&G that
Txbroadcaster might attend.:D

I played on a co-ed team when I worked for HEB. It was fun. I'd definitely do it again.

kind of ruins the stalker quality to have a girl's husband around...

Also, it hurts the stalker's ability to live if he husband knows he's a stalker.

Now I have to figure out how to tell Txbroadcaster that,
believe it or not, there are jealous & over-protective men out
there that wouldn't take it as well as he does. :D

it was my wifes rule... mainly because all of us husbands always were telling the wives what to do...

but we actually were a pretty good team... we were holes and poles... won the league a few times... then we started having babies and that ended it...I think all 6 wives got pregnant at about the same time... must have been a good tournament in Lafayette...

could have changed the name to"just like hockey, he shoots, he scores

Why did you shoot at me when you caught me peeking in the window at her then?
