Do you want to be 90, 100? Do you think you will make 65, 70?

I cant decide. I have had my grandma staying here this week. in her early 70's. I probably shouldnt say it but shes immobile and uses a cane or walker. well she also has a stomach bug. Not fast enough on the cane or the walker to get to the john...
I swear I dont ever want to be so old that i am shazzing on myself.

I'm aiming for 115 so that I can see the year 2100 and probably make the news because people will be asking what it was like back in 2000.

And I figure with the steady increase in life expectancy over the past couple of centuries, that's not an unrealistic goal!

well, it was the best of times, yet the worst of times. I was a young high schooler back in those days, and there was this thing called Y2K that was supposed to blow up our computers. What's a computer you ask? Well, it was a predecessor to the predecessor to the predecessor of what we have today....

and then they'd cut the mike off, most likely because I would keep rambling for a couple of hours and not even notice that they weren't paying attention.

At least, that's the way I picture it in my head...

My great-great grandmother lived to 99
My great-grandmother lived to 98
My grandmother lived to 101 (buried the day before her 101st birthday)
My mom is 75 and more active than I am (almost lol)

My dad died @ 61
My dad's dad died @ 61
My dad's mother died @ 32
My dad's oldest sister died @ 62
My dad's youngest sister died @ 64

I have no idea which gene's I inherited - but I do know one thing -I don't wanna live to be 99 if I am wearing diapers and in the nursing home. If I can live the life my great and grandmother's lived - I'll be OK with it - they were totally self-sufficient until the last year or so.

If I'm healthy 80-85.

I don't want to be one of the old people crapping myself and having no control.

Like my rich father in law told me (right after I found out he was rich, and then promptly asked him how he was feeling lately, and then telling him they were having a sale on pork ribs at Albertsons) "You little sob, I plan on taking my last breath and spending my last dime at the exact same moment". :(
